Titanic Blog
In case you didn’t know it is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic on the 15th of April. Working on the Titanic tours and having a interest in the story and the men who built it, I am looking forward to the whole centenary being over and done with. It seems like every man and his dog is trying to cash in on the Titanic. Every Theatre Company I can think of is doing something and to top it all off there are MTV gigs on the slipways, the film in the dry dock and even worse the Belfast City Council are holding a family fun day on the 15th of April?????? Wait a minute is it just me or does anyone else find all this celebrating a little bit uncomfortable - over 1500 people were killed on the Titanic; it was the biggest maritime disaster in peacetime history Yes we can celebrate the men who built not just it but the two sister ships and the other seventeen ships being built at that time in Harland+Wolff and all of those skilled me n who worked down there, and that’s what we do on the tours but on the 15th of April we have to commemorate the lives lost that sad night not hold a family frigging fun day. I find it really sad that certain people are turning that day into a celebration. RANT OVER. Last night I was filming some more scenes for ‘Splash Area’ It has been a lot of fun and have one more night left, I have only a small role but I hope I have made a good impression for other films they will be doing this year. Being so busy on Titanic Tours and my Fiancee being in hospital for a few weeks I’ve had to pull out of ‘The Odd Couple’ I just dont have the time but i really hope it does well as I’m sure it will. The auditions are always ongoing and next i have a audition for a Feature Film. Keep looking on the website - I will have my show reel on very soon.
