Biography

A bit about Ed

Ed was born and grew up in Randalstown, County Antrim in Northern Ireland. He was a keen sportsman growing up, playing both soccer and Gaelic football. In his late teens Ed got a taste for traveling and traveled extensively in Asia, America, Europe and Australia before returning home to pursue a career as an actor.

 

Ed has worked with some of the top directors and companies in Northern Ireland including Peter Quigley (Pack up Your Troubles, 2011), Roma Tomelty (The Trial of Henry Joy McCracken, 2010) and Oliver Mears (Tosca, 2011 and Orpheus in the Underworld, written by Rory Bremner, 2011). Ed has also trained under such inspirational people as Sam McCready, Peter Quigley and Scott Williams (The Meisner Technique).

Ed is also proud to have worked on the award-winning play, Ballymurphy: The Aftermath, written by Brenda Murphy (A Night with George) and directed by Pam Brighton. And ‘Tosca’ that win Best Opera at the Irish Theatre Awards In Dublin. His first feature film Splash Area received two awards at the Freak show festival in America in October.

Ed was back on stage with the award wining play Ballymurphy The Aftermath, It had another sell out run in August. He also took part in the  lunchbox Theatre at the Black Box. Ed  also got  cast in his first Shakespeare play. He  played Leonato in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’  In September with Ruff Theatre Company. Ed has also established NI’S Inbetween Agency. A brand new acting agency representing some of the best talent NI has to offer.
